- Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Sell value proposition including all Sales channels (mapping products and services to customer values)
- Develop high potential customers as identified and assigned based on high growth opportunities and the potential model
- Actively seek opportunities for new business and identify new segment to drive customer acquisition
- Qualify and follow up on leads provided by suppliers, marketing and other internal departments.
- Leverage supplier relationships in local markets
- Retain customer loyalty through accurately communicating value proposition and building client trust/relationship.
- Plan and organize a sales strategy for the designated geographical area.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems/complaints
- Ensure strong, effective market share of the products and services by providing direction and information on the products and applications.
- Increase utilization of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system including achieving a contact strategy and utilise Feedback Management System (FMS).
- Make sales calls and presentations.
- Participate in trade shows, conventions, sales meetings or other special events.
- Maintain customer records and provide management with reports on the customer needs, problems, interests, market situation, competitive activities and potential for new products/services (pipeline reporting)
- To maintain brand image
- Outbound call priorities based on potential/segmentation model
- Proactively maintain and expand existing knowledge of customers and new accounts
- Look for opportunities to improve Average Order Value (AOV) and Lines Per Order (LPO) via cross-selling and up-selling (e.g. call campaigns)
- Utilize internal groups and tools to solve customer service issues (rather than focusing heavily on solving issues themselves)
- Building relationships across all departments within the customer to expand overall sales potential
- Leverage supplier relationships in local markets
- Proactively maintain and expand the profile of customers within assigned accounts.
- Identify potentially profitable target accounts and markets
- Take a pro-active approach to enhancing customer spend.
- Maintain account activity in systems (Data)
- Forecast weekly sales potential
- Drive customer data accuracy
