Job Description

*About the Role -We are looking for an Engineering Lead to lead our Vietnam-based engineering team and work closely with UK Product & Engineering teams to build a cloud-native, serverless SaaS web application. -This is a hands-on leadership role, with a strong focus on backend development (Node.js + AWS Serverless), while overseeing frontend delivery using React.*What You’ll Do ● Lead backend design and development using Node.js (TypeScript) and AWS Serverless (Lambda, API Gateway). ● Guide and review React-based frontend development to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery. ● Lead, mentor, and support engineers through 1:1s, code reviews, and coaching. ● Collaborate daily with UK-based Product and Engineering teams. ● Ensure high standards in code quality, security, scalability, and CI/CD. ● Drive Agile delivery, manage technical risks, and continuously improve engineering practices.

Job Requirements

*What We’re Looking For
● 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack web development.
● 2+ years in a technical leadership or team lead role.
● Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and REST APIs.
● Production experience with AWS Serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB/S3).
● Solid knowledge of authentication & authorization (OAuth, JWT, SSO).
● Experience with CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and automated testing.
● Working knowledge of React.js (reviewing & guiding frontend work).
● Experience working in Agile and distributed / international teams.
● Good English communication skills (spoken & written).
● Experience with event-driven architectures or message queues (SQS/SNS).
● Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes.
● SaaS or product-company background.

*Education
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
