The Ministry of Finance has just issued Official Letter No. 7209/BTC-TCT to all local tax authorities extending for the second time the statutory deadline for submission of the 2009 PIT finalisation returns to 31 July 2010 inclusive. The new extended deadline should apply to both printed documents and e-filing submission.
The above further extension is meant to help taxpayers better cope with the changes under the PIT Law.
However, it is unclear if the PIT payment deadline would also be extended to 31 July 2010. Local tax authorities are expected to confirm this matter and provide further guidelines to taxpayers in their respective localities.
