POSITION SUMMARY
To assist Finance Manager (FM) in managing operation activities in management accounting section.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES - To assist FM in in training, developing and coaching subordinates to maximize each individual’s contribution in line with the company goals. - To initiate and assist FM in setting/updating departmental targets, objectives, plans and activities. - To manage the Management accounting Section in line with the company policies and requirements. To supervise and ensure that subordinates carry out proper accounting transaction and that the Co.’s policies & procedures are adhered to. - To maintain the Company General Ledger. To implement and maintain the compliance of SCAN/SCOA in company - To maintain, review and implement Finance procedures toward maintaining and improving the section’s work quality and efficiency. - To supervise cost accounting and production inventory staff to ensure that the Company inventory and production costs are recorded adequately and safeguarded. - To supervise staff who is in charge of engineering spare part/Draught beer store and POS store at brewery and depots to ensure that inventory transactions and expenses are recorded adequately and timely according to the company policies. - To supervise staff who is in charge of account receivable accounting system to ensure that trade debtor accounts are recorded adequately and in good status according to the company policy. - To assist FM in credit control; to corporate with Corporate Affairs on legal action against the bad debt accounts. - To drive monthly and year end closing process to ensure that all transactions are captured correctly, company’s accounts are closed properly and timely. - To maintain the reporting system to provide info. for managerial decisions ie. generate monthly financial reports: P&L; BS; cashflow and other supplementary reports; GPNet by brand; various variance reports on company performance such as Working capital; Capex; Controllable Cash Costs; Debtor aging; production variance reports, marketing expenses; overhead cost per department etc. - To supervise and execute the preparation process of company annual Financial Account Package under IAS and local statutory account, company financial statements to be submitted to Head office and local authorities. - To assist FM in preparing the annual 3 year plan, annual budget and quarterly forecast. - To handle internal and external customers' inquiries and complaints within work scope. - To work with internal and external auditors to assist them in their annual audit or ad-hoc field works related to financial accounting works. - To work with local tax authorities in regard to VAT output; SST; WHT of royalties; CIT. - To verify and approve data created by financial staff.
