Job summary

1. Set-up Finance and Accounting Department - Involve in recruitment of junior staff - Liaise with banks for banking arrangement - Managing daily operations of the department 2. Implementation of Accounting System (Sunsystem Account) - Select system vendor - Liaise with vendor on system & user requirement - Draft implementation plan - Involve in UAT and production run 3. Involvement in operation system implementation - Ensure data from various operation systems, like Life Asia, Polisy, Agency compensation system can be flow directly to Sun Account via interface file - Define accounting requirements for the mentioned systems - Define summary reports for cross checking purpose - Involve in UAT and production run 4. Drafting of operational and control policies - Develop the operational policies based on Company’s requirement to ensure smooth run of the operations - Develop control policies to ensure compliance on accounting and insurance regulation - Split of duty to avoid possible fault or risk for the Company 5. Supervise the operation of the department - Supervise and review on the jobs of junior staffs. - Assist the CFO to monitor on daily accounting functions, e.g. receivable, payable, cash management, etc 6. Financial Accounting - Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management, shareholders, regional office as well as local insurance regulator - Coordinate with other department/division for reporting purpose - Making analysis on the company’s result 7. Management Accounting - Prepare budget and business plan as required by management and/or regular basis - Coordinate with other department/division for budgeting purpose - Review actual vs forecast or budget performance - Alert management on the performance and risk 8. Regulation Compliance - Ensure compliance on all accounting (Local GAAP and IFRS) and insurance/solvency requirement
