Job summary
|
Business Strategy and Direction • Know and understand the company’s strategic direction versus market orientations. • Analyze the customer’s needs and develop an appropriate BU strategy that is in alignment with company’s organizational goals. Create at least 4 new Brands for the Business Unit for the next three years (including Food Supplement one)
Cost Management • Define, develop and make effective use of cost analysis tools. • Provide feedback to staff on cost and cost trends. • Manage and monitor Debtors relating to the Private Labels Division • Liaise with Finance staff to ensure that the best uses of cash flows are maintained. • Review prices and manage them, margins of products within the acceptable margin targets • Be proactive in managing cash flow
Forecast Development and Accuracy • Make the budget and the forecasts for the Business Unit and complete sales forecasting and planning with the National Sales Managers. Manage his own financial stewardship for Business Unit – billing, reporting • Participate in company’s monthly forecast cycle with Business Unit Management and Branch & Sales Management as required.
Sales & Marketing Strategy • • Develop and maintain the divisional Business Plan • • Consolidate, perform and manage sales and sellers team by network distribution and by product categories: assistants, sellers, customer service, supervisor. Be in charge of all key accounts • • Research and develop a book of potential clients • • Follow up on sales leads • • Solicit performance reviews / ratings from clients • • Managing Existing clients and accounts by enhancing the established relationships and partnerships • • Continually learn the business influencers of the client • • Planning / Inventory / Supply Chain Management • Champion the execution and deployment of company’s planning and inventory strategies and systems with the customer if possible, and implement customized solutions if necessary. • Drive a systematic process to receive, evaluate and fulfil customer demand across the business unit. • Generate and analyse inventory reports for internal business unit and / or customer use. • Clearly and regularly communicate the customer’s needs to the Supply Chain Management, National Sales Management and the other Business Units to ensure that company provides supply chain solutions that foster success.
Customer Service • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service. • Represent company’s team in a professional manner during customer meetings, audits, presentations and conference calls. • Anticipate and meet/exceed customer expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively. Make customer issues a priority. • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
