Job summary
|
We require a Security Sales Specialist that has a broad subject matter expertise in the area of IT Security. They will most likely be in a sales role currently.
The person will carry a quota and will be required to achieve over 100% by their own efforts
Specific Skills
Mandatory
• Strong English Communications Skills, Verbal and Written.
• Have a Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in Security or Relevant Sales Knowledge. Confident and history of engaging CXO level contacts.
• Must have Security subject matter expertise. The security landscape, perimeter vs. data security, why business needs security, compliance landscape.
• Able to show a history of multi product selling which essentially is bringing a solution together for a customer. Able to demonstrate benefits selling scenarios instead of feature selling approach.
• Must be able to demonstrate a history of selling to business functional units and not just technical contacts.
• Able to demonstrate a history of performance against quota. Must have carried a quota and performed against the quota. Must understand how to balance the short term and the long term goals of pipeline development – tactical vs. strategic. Must be results oriented.
• Possess Strong Multi tasking, Independent, Positive attitude.
• Able to demonstrate Strong Time Management, Tasks and Customer Management skills.
• Able to demonstrate ability to balance account management with business development into net new customers. Know how to grow a territory.
• Must have an understanding of how to work in a matrix team and achieve results with others. Be a Team Player.
• Able to develop good working relationships with channels and understand how channels work with vendors.
• Exceptional Presentation Skills. Be able to prepare presentations that fit the audience. Be able to speak in front of groups.
• Must be able to travel on a quarterly basis for regional meetings and events. 20-30% traveling time per year
Nice to Have
• Able to show a history of selling Professional Services.
• Understand the tendering and proposal process and how to bring together a team to prepare a winning bid by working to a deadline.
• Understand expense management and the impact on the business.
• Have a sales methodology and preferably attended some form of formal sales methodology training.
• Professional attitude in handling conflicts management and Maturity is a plus.
