Job summary
|
Responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the total operations of the Spray, Kiln, Refire,
Glost., Laboratory and Quality Assurance departments, as well as raw material & technical issues in
the plant.
1. Plans, coordinates, and supervises activities involving the preparation of spray, kiln, glost,
laboratory & quality assurance to ensure adherence to established schedules and specifications,
2. Research and development raw material using in slip & glaze for proper adjustment aimed at
optimum of material usage,
3. Initiate tests, research and development aimed at quality improvement and/or cost reduction and/
or re-formulation slip & glaze production,
4. Research & Development new raw material for backing up & cost saving,
5. Control incoming raw material to ensure their quality complied our specification,
6. Inspect and evaluation to raw materials area and or producer/supplier,
7. Coordinates with the following department:
Production planning: Regarding production schedules, availability of materials and supplies
needed in the preparation of slip – glaze and casting of wares,
Cast shop: Regarding wares needed for their smooth operation,
Engineering: Regarding projects of spray, kiln and glost,
Slip & Glaze: Regarding slip & glaze quality control,
Warehouse: Regarding priority wares and total transfer,
8. Reviews, recommends, and implements changes in production process or procedures, as
required to improve product quality and reduce cost,
9. Responsible for costing operating improvements of the spray, kiln and glost,
10. To analyse problems encountered based on product defects, determine causes and initiatives
solutions,
11. Co-ordinate to PED for evaluating/improving product/new product including VC, component,
packaging,
12. Following up the improvement of product quality, quality management system to meet customer
need, curing customer complaint,
13. Periodically visiting customer to hear customer need and following up product quality at customer
site aiming better customer satisfactory,
14. Sees to the proper handling of equipment and machineries, implements safety, an security
measurement, proper housekeeping and cleanliness,
15. Prepare periodical department budgets on manpower, cost, equipments, materials, .. for superior
approval
