JOB INFORMATION
Job title Software Engineering Manager

Job summary Duties:

- Manage all activities of a 30+ software engineering organization with 2 sub-functional teams (Software Development and SQA) concerning:

+ Project planning, project schedule, project tracking;

+ Risk management;

+ Requirement management;

+ Communication management;

+ Quality management;

+ Budget control (if needed)

- Manages the development and implementation process of company’s products involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products

- Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the team of technical and non technical resources to ensure that all assigned workloads are completed in an accurate and timely manner

- Manage and oversee skill development of the staff

- Plans and directs resource schedules

- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

- Establish operational objectives and work plans

- Review objectives and assess group productivity

- Review, develop, modify and implement policy to improve group operation

PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Person specification Education and/or Experience :

- B.S., M.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (IT).

- Minimum of six (6) years experience in software development and four (4) years experience in software project management



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

- Experience to build team, a strong motivation to create a collaborative team-working environment.  Extremely strong people and organizational skills

- Extensive experience in project planning, project tracking, requirement management, risk management and communications management

- Extensive experiences in requirement capturing and analysis

- Strong leadership, negotiation and management skills, good analytical thinking/logic, and an ability to learn quickly

- Must be proactive, highly accountable, and customer service oriented.

- Strong communication/presentation skills.  Fluency in English and Vietnamese is a must

- Knowledge of Semiconductor Industry and Finance is a plus

- Experience in multicultural international working environment is a plus
